Collabim is an all in one SEO tool. It tries to compete with foreign giants such as Ahrefs (e.g. with relatively good support for the Seznam search engine), while in Czech waters it competes for customers with Marketing Miner.
SEO can’t do without good tools. But should you include Collabim among your tools?
Let’s take a look.
Collabim price
Collabim is one of the cheaper tools with 543 CZK/month. You can also find a lot of affil/promo links on the internet that will cut that price in half for the first three months.
Price, however, is only the first piece of the puzzle. What’s important is what the tool can do.
Collabim functions
The Collabim homepage looks like this, where you can see all the Collabim tools in the left panel, and we’ll go through some of them.
Hint: I’m far from being a Collabim power user, so if you already know the tool, you won’t learn anything new in this article and your time is probably better spent with, say, Taste Collabim Academy.
1) Keyword Explorer
The keyword explorer is a classic.
The ability to save words directly into a project is great. The good news is also that it doesn’t cost you any credits/money to survey – you can lustrate unlimitedly.
I guess the explorer will be directly linked to the Google Ads keyword planner, so the designs are more creative than say Sklik, however you can do the same analysis in Google Ads and you don’t actually need Collabim.
Anyway, if you do use it, it’s great to have the analysis tool in one place, and the ability to directly save words to a project is also very nice.
2) One-off analyses
Collabim offers the following analyses:
While parsing already costs you credits.
Great keyword suggestion where you can start with data from the search console – what people find you under:
And then you can choose (for credits) where you want to enrich the data from:
A great tool is also the Holy Grail, which I primarily use to keep track of keywords and interesting phrases to target, called clickbait.
Bottom line, if you don’t use any analytics tools yet, you’ll be excited about Collabim.
Which I currently am.If you use any analytics tools – Ahrefs, Marketing Miner… So since I don’t use them, I can’t say whether Collabim will offer anything new and interesting in this area.
3) Keywords
This time I’m referring to the section where you can track the position of your individual keywords in search engines over time.
You can largely customize this dashboard:
There’s not much to fault it for.
If you are not constrained by budget, I believe this feature alone makes Collabim worth a try.
Personally, then, I find this to be one of the most valuable parts of the tool, and I currently only track my positions here.
4) Competition
Here you should be able to keep track of your competition.
For me, this is the flaky part, so I won’t belabor it.
The basic dashboard looks like this:
which is pretty cool. However, you won’t get much useful information from the dasboard (or maybe I just haven’t learned it yet).
However, it seems to me that you can learn much more useful things just by using a free account (even without registering) Ubersuggest.
5) Other tools
Collabim offers a lot more – to name a few:
- Technical Audits
- Linkbuilder link tracking
- Weekly Summary
- Marketing Maps
However, you can already try these features for yourself in the 14-day trial that Collabim offers.
Finally, I would like to add the following:
Marketing Diary
In the log you can write down various changes you have made to your marketing and SEO efforts over time (backlink gain, page speed optimization, mega article release, etc.) and then see those entries across the tool.
And while correlation isn’t causation, it’s a great tool for you to at least estimate the impact of your efforts.
SEO catalog
Collabim offers registered users (unfortunately only freelancers and agencies – it’s an online services catalog) to join their SEO catalog for free.
I take this backlink as a very nice bonus.
