You’ve heard of Notion, that’s why you’re here. Let’s take a look at what this app can do and whether it’s worth using.
But let’s start by answering the main question: Is Notion the most useful app on the entire Internet?
Yes. It is.
Let’s take a look at why.
What is Notion and what is it for?
Notion is a note-taking application that can also be used casually as a comprehensive project management system, a planning center, or a second brain.
The foundation of Notion is simplicity. If you download the app (or launch it in your browser) you’ll be able to use it in no time.Even if you’re not very tech-savvy. Really.
Notion consists of pages, and a page in Notion looks like this:
However, don’t be fooled, despite its extremely intuitive and simple UI, Notion can do a lot.
It has a supercharged database feature, so you can use it to organize a wide range of projects, use it as an efficient Kanban, or map processes and then generate checklists with just a click thanks to the database feature.
Jan Polzer, for example, introduced his Notion to PHP.
I use SEO extensively too, in fact it is perhaps my most used SEO tool, but we’ll get to that in a moment.Let’s recap a bit first.
What are the main advantages of Notion
The main ones are definitely:
- Flexibility: Notion allows you to create your workspace in a truly customized way. You can use documents, spreadsheets, kanban boards, databases and more to make Notion fit exactly what you need it for.
- Collaboration capabilities: Notion makes it easy to collaborate with other people, either through document sharing or directly through shared workspaces. Unlike most apps, Notion has a very user-friendly sharing experience, and people you send a document to will see it immediately without logging in. To edit it, they’ll already have to log in. However, they can do this easily by logging in with Google. Notion also has a comments feature (similar to Google Docs).
- Integration with other apps: Notion integrates with many other apps, such as Google Calendar, Trello, Slack, and more. So if you like Notion, you can do a lot from inside it.
- Clarity and simplicity: Notion is simplicity. It is. Simply. Try creating a document in it and see for yourself.
- Mobile app: Notion also has a mobile app. I hate mobile apps and mobile in general. However, the Notion app isn’t that bad. That should be enough for you as a reference!

How much is Notion worth?
Notion is free.
The paid version is primarily for teams (when you need to have multiple accounts within a workspace) – or if you want nice but redundant features (like version history) on your personal account.
For students, Notion offers a free premium plan.
What can Notion be used for?
You can use it as a personal diary, a task book, a project tool, but you can also use just its databases for specific purposes or turn it into a comprehensive office software.
It has a wide range of uses and will be used by both individuals and organizations.
A few examples of use:
- project management
- task management
- contact and meeting management (CRM)
- document organization and management (content)
- making notes and memos
- creating and managing databases

I personally use Notion for:- Writing articles,
- task database,
- project management,
- various progress boards,
- keyword analysis,
- ideas and much more.
Paradoxically, the only thing I don’t use Notion for is notes. I find Obsidian much better for notes.

Word by Conclusion
If you don’t use Notion, give it a try. If you’ve tried it and weren’t impressed, try it again.
I believe Notion is one of the few things that deserves more chances.
